As the release of PenPath‘s private beta approaches, all the options on how to fund the company prior to revenue cross my mind. One of tactics I’m considering is crowdfunding. So as usual, I research the topic and see what experts have to say before continuing down that path. I have found some great tips online (most from the website’s themselves: Kickstarter and Indiegogo) but this video had some of the richest first hand knowledge I’ve seen. It’s a long one, but I think if anyone is serious about raising money they will find time to sit through it.
I’m still having trouble figuring out if this would be a good option for PenPath. I think it will, but a little more research needs to be done. Macaw is an example of a successful Saas business model that’s done really well with crowdfunding so I think there is hope!
